David Masters
David Masters started out as an audio engineering intern at two different recording studios on the Emerald Coast of Florida. Masters began his career at Neptone Recording Studio in Destin in the fall of 2011 before finding a home at Emergent Recording and Production House. From 2012 to 2015 he worked his way up from intern to assistant engineer before becoming the studio’s head engineer and, eventually, producer. Working diligently in many facets of a studio has helped Masters develop a wealth of know-how and professionalism; specifically within production, time management, knowledge of different genres of music, A&R, and business management.
“When I set out to become a music producer in 2005, I did so with the philosophy that, in the end, what is best for the MUSIC will be at the forefront of every project I would be a part of. As I watched and learned from some of the greatest producers and engineers, I learned that the biggest parts of this philosophy are communication with the artists, a unified direction of where the music can go, and what I like to call ‘analog sensibility.’ Analog sensibility, at its core, is taking all of the lessons learned from some of the best recordings/bands/producers and applying them to the digital world that music resides in today. Open discussion in pre-production, taking time in the tracking process to get the performance, collaboration with the artists during the processes of producing, mixing and mastering, and creating a unified front to make the music the best it can be. These are the philosophies that Rob and I share, and what we’ve founded Paradigm Logic Studios on: being that analog sensibility for an increasingly digital world.” - David Masters
Rob Perez
Rob Perez has spent the better part of the last 20 years refining his songwriting and production craft. He has engineered several demos and EPs for himself and other artists along the Florida Gulf Coast, all while performing in numerous acts along the way - most notably and recently, hard rock act The Helvetica Effect. In doing so, he is now taking the lessons learned from the innumerable artists, producers, engineers, business professionals, and industry insiders he’s had the opportunity to work with at a intimate level, and is now applying them in a professional studio setting.
“I think that at the end of the day - having truly created something that is equal parts unique and uniform to audio standards today is something that any artist or any audio project wants to achieve right out the gate. As a current producer and former touring artist, I love being able to help and create with other incredible artists using all variations of different audio palettes. Going a step beyond that, I also love that we are now able to achieve having a professional studio audio presence without the need for a typical studio. There’s no getting past that we now live in the era of having to differentiate as to why a project would need us when bedroom studios exist. As such, we feel now is the time to come out and say that while you can do this on your own, David and I can be truly the outlier. We humbly ask to give us a chance to be the eyes & ears to help make your project better - whatever that may be.” - Rob Perez
